Image 2D
An image in the plan serves as a template: the floor plan of a room, a scanned sketch. It comes in via File → Import… or by dragging the file onto the window, see Import files.
Selected, it shows handles for scaling. In the editor (second click), width and height are available as numbers, a button swaps the image, and Restore aspect ratio un-skews it again.
Scale to a known distance
- Start measuring and click two points in the image whose distance you know, such as two corners of a room.
- Enter the real distance as the target length.
- Apply the scaling.
The image is then to scale. It's best to place it on its own, locked layer.
