Inventory
View → Inventory… counts which rails your plan needs, and checks that against what you already have.
The inventory dialog.
For each rail it shows how many times it is used. You fill in Available and Price yourself; Remaining and the totals in the footer are calculated from them: total length, inventory value, price of the missing elements.
Your stock is not part of the plan; it applies to all plans. Raily remembers it on this device and, when you are logged in, in your account: the browser and the desktop app then show the same stock, and the one changed last wins. You can also keep it as a file:
| Button | |
|---|---|
| Save inventory as JSON / Load inventory from JSON | Your stock with prices. Loading replaces the current values |
| Import Raily 2/3/4 inventory | an .inv file |
| the list as a printout or an HTML file | |
| Export inventory data | the table as CSV or JSON, as a file or to the clipboard |
| Settings | show unused stock, show prices, filename and date on the printout |
If prices are hidden, they are also left out of the printout and the export. In the CSV, numbers always use a decimal point; for a spreadsheet that expects a decimal comma, use semicolon or tab as the separator.
