Element info
The element info answers the question "What kind of track is this?": for a selected element, it shows the manufacturer's catalog data, not the settings in the plan.
The element info.
Open it via Info… in the context menu of a selected element.
Element
- Name and Type: what the part is called and what it is (straight, curve, switch …).
- Length, Radius, Angle: the key figures of the track piece. Which of these appear depends on the type: a straight has no radius.
- Track width: the measurement between the rails.
- Bedding width and Build depth: the height is broken down for you: Rail + sleeper + bedding = total height. That's the value you need when tracks from different systems are meant to meet.
- Catalog status: whether the part is still produced, plus Produced From and Produced Till.
- Remark: notes from the manufacturer or the module.
Module
Below that are the details of the module the element comes from: Manufacturer with Manufacturer link, System, Scale, Track material, and the Catalog status of the module as a whole.
Planning transitions
If two systems are meant to connect, compare the build depths here. A difference of one millimeter shows up as a visible step in the finished track.
