Settings
Settings are grouped by area, and each one carries its own explanation. This page therefore does not describe them one by one. It answers the question that, when in doubt, actually gets asked: How do I get back if I have changed something?
The Settings dialog.
What have I actually changed?
Show changed only hides everything still at its default value. What remains is exactly what you have touched at some point — usually a short list, even if the dialog feels large. Changed settings are also highlighted.
Resetting a single setting
Reset to default appears next to a changed setting. The button is only visible where the value differs from the default; it is therefore also the indicator that something was changed here.
This is the normal case: first turn on Show changed only, then reset the one row causing the trouble.
Resetting everything
If that does not help, calling
…/raily.html#reset-config
resets all settings. Raily asks at startup and only deletes them after your confirmation.
This affects only settings
Your plans remain untouched: they live in files, not in the settings. What is lost is every customization: language, appearance, keyboard shortcuts, defaults.
Transferring and backing up
Export settings writes everything to a file, Import settings reads it back in. This is the way to a second computer, and the precaution before you change something whose effect you do not yet know: export first, then try it out.
